I know that the post will very likely be deleted. I try it anyway:

I just finished my (German) PHD project and I wanted to thank the community here for all the help and inspiration.

The thesis can be viewed here:

The final presentation containing a animation (animate package, see slide 10) can be found here:

Here are some of the questions that helped me to achieve this:

This might have the makings of a good blog post - contact Paulo in the chat room, and see what he thinks :) – cmhughes Jun 12 '14 at 21:47

Congratulations but would you please consider the size of the files you expect people to load in order to read your thanks? I have a fast connection but my computer struggled somewhat (even in the middle of the night when the local exchange is quiet) and others are not so fortunate. Apologies for being a damp squib but my computer is still trying to download bits of your images. – cfr Jun 13 '14 at 1:01

I replaced the pictures with low resolution versions. I thought that they are automatically shrinked. – Dr. Manuel Kuehner Jun 13 '14 at 5:43

Congratulations! Although it's nice to send your thesis I think you could add it as another example to Showcase of beautiful typography done in tex friends – Ignasi Jun 13 '14 at 7:46
  • Ok. Thanks. I thought "Showcase of beautiful typography done in TeX & friends" is a bit too fancy :). – Dr. Manuel Kuehner Jun 13 '14 at 8:11
  • I don't get it how to start a chat with Paulo... – Dr. Manuel Kuehner Jun 14 '14 at 21:10
  • Just AOn the main page, go to »Stack Exchange« in teh upper left corner, There you can find a little »chat« link. Once in there, you can ping @Paulocereda using the @ sign. Paulo will decide if a new chatroom will be created. – Johannes_B Jun 14 '14 at 21:54
  • Thanks. I made the mistake that I did not choose a related site. – Dr. Manuel Kuehner Jun 14 '14 at 21:57
